Mobile Recycling Service Launched (July 2008)


Resources sister company Green Mobile can now provide a full mobile handset recycling service. Simply follow the instructions (www.greenmobile.co.uk) and you can get cash for your old mobiles.

Our recycling service is operated by Eazyfone Ltd, who are the UKs largest and greenest mobile phone recycler - and one of the UKs fastest growing companies. Green Mobile has become their preferred telecoms partner and will be strongly promoted on the Eazyfone website.

NFU Connect Launched (March 2008)



Resource Utilities and the NFU (National Farmers Union) have launched NFU Connect. This telephone service provides farmers with the best value landline and mobile deals in the UK. On top of this, NFU Connect offers an extra discount of 4% off members' total bill. This discount can be offset against their telephone bills or donated to the NFU's favourite charity: RABI.

Green Business Award (October 2007)

At the beginning of October Green Mobile won a Green Business Award from the Local Wandsworth Guardian. It now offers business landline and mobile services and is the ideal choice for businesses wishing to comply with their corporate social responsibility (CSR) promises.  4% of all business bills are donated to the Woodland Trust – this works out as one tree planted for every £125 spent on your telephone bill.

New Charity Partner for Green Mobile (June 2007)

The Environment Investigation Agency becomes Green Mobile’s latest charity partner to benefit from the scheme. The EIA will use donations to investigate deforestation in Indonesia, and to help fight campaigns to the save the tiger.

Resource launches Green Mobile (January 2007)

Resource launches Green Mobile in association with the Woodland Trust and Friends of the Earth. For each new mobile phone customer Green Mobile plants 5 trees, and 6% of all on-going bills are donated to our charity partners. Customers are encouraged to keep their mobile handsets for one more year to reduce environmental impact

The Guild of Mastercraftsmen (August 2004)
The Guild of Mastercraftsmen has endorsed Resource's high quality and high value business product to its membership of 15,000 small businesses in the UK. As well as excellent value outbound calls, members can also achieve huge savings on inbound 0800, 0845 and 0870 numbers.
Resource opens new service centre (December 2003)
Resource has opened its own customer service centre and mailing operation in Silverstone. "Bringing these operations in-house ensures a higher level of customer service" says Sophie Shoemark, Resource's Operations Manager.
LCC set to race ahead (June 2003)
London Cycling Campaign is set to race ahead of the field with Resource's home phone products. LCC has launched Resource to its 15,000 supporters in order to raise extra funds.
Christian Aid and Resource partnership (February 2003)
Christian Aid and Resource partnership leads to huge levels of new business. 3,000 supporters and members of the public have contacted Resource since June 2000. Continuing promotion by Christian Aid will ensure that a huge amount will be donated by Resource to Christian Aid over the coming years. The Daily Express picked up on the win/win story.
Resource will donate to The Tree Council (September 2002)
If you opt out of receiving a paper phone bill through the post (i.e. opt to view your phone bill on-line), then Resource will donate 10p per month to The Tree Council, a charity that helps preserve trees in the UK.
Network award winner Energis (April 2002)
Using Energis' UK network ensures Resource's customers are using a top quality network (Oftel Best Network award winner in both 98/99 + 99/00. All Resource customers are "dual-provisioned" with a secondary network should Energis fail at any point.
